
I am Alexandra Inglis, a linguist, educator, and researcher with a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Freiburg.
This website offers a very brief insight into my academic background and independent professional interests (please feel free to contact me for more details).
My work combines research in linguistics and English-language teaching, with a particular focus on multilingualism, translanguaging, language pedagogy, and language policy.
Alongside my teaching and research, I contribute to academic and professional boards and collaborate on projects that promote language learning and teacher development.

Alexandra Inglis earned her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Freiburg in 2016 (Magna cum laude), specializing in language policy in the educational system of Ukraine. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics & English Language Teaching (2010) from the University of Surrey.
She has also pursued further professional development, including a TESOL certification (2006) from Trinity College London, a Forensic Linguistics short course (2024) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, and an Introduction to AI certificate (2020) from IBM (Coursera). Her academic interests focus on multilingual education, translanguaging, and the intersections of AI and forensic linguistics in language studies.
